How did you choose your school name?

At ONE Academy—Athens, we believe that our school provides a place where we are all equal, has brought a diverse group of individuals together, and is a place to lessen separation between people and break boundaries of origin, race, gender, ego, and anything else that seeks to "other" us in this world; including who we ourselves think we are, until we learn who we are capable of becoming. We provide ourselves in our welcoming and comfortable atmosphere where you can focus on achieving all your Jiu-Jitsu and personal goals!

Helping our students grow. Spreading Jiu-Jitsu, yoga, and Muay Thai to areas that need it.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

The premiere martial arts school in Southeast, Ohio for Authentic Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Yoga, and Muay Thai.

ONE Academy—Athens was founded by Carlos Mendez in 2011, and is the first and only school for Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, Yoga, and Muay Thai in Athens, Ohio. 

This school is dedicated to expand Gracie Jiu-Jitsu to the Southeastern Ohio area by teaching the Gracie family's techniques and philosophy. The Gracie style of Jiu-Jitsu is the most effective style of self defense in the world. We are dedicated to offering an environment where it is easy and fun to learn Jiu-Jitsu for everyone. As a result of taking our classes, you will get into the best shape of your life and will feel comfortable defending yourself both in martial arts or in a real life self defense situation.
