Installation Tips: FUJI Floor Mounted Racks or FreeStanding or Cage Panels

Use a laser or chalk line (or tape measure + mark) to establish the line you’d like to follow.

  1. Layout the rack on the floor, aligning the placement as you would like it to fit in your space. Snap Chalk Lines for the front and back of the baseplate to ensure alignment. Mark your layout on the floor for your baseplate.

  2. The Post face may help frame or border edge your mats, consider this for placement.  Slide the front of the plate under the mats’ edge. (go back later and notch out for the anchors/plate if you need mats to sit flush here).

  3. Pilot and Anchor the first 2 uprights + the first ibeam. – don’t fully snug anchors!!  Just get it safely in place at about 90% tight. (Use just a couple anchors on each plate as needed) at first.  Have several people hold this in place, if needed.

  4. Measure for the next posts, mark, pilot and repeat. (Cage panels or iBeams can be used to help space out the uprights at 8-ft O.C. typically).  Always measure each iBeam and place your Footplate on-center with the iBeam Length.  (Note, a nominal “10footer” ibeam = 121inches on-center, not 120in*)

  5. When completely set up where you want this, snug up the floor anchors, then crossbeam anchors, then your cage bolts (where applicable)
